Install & First Launch
Install either Windows client and begin your first Everdam session.
Screenshots show the actual Windows download page and clients. Account fields are empty. Login screens were captured in a local test session; check Server Status for public world availability.
1. Choose your client
Open Play Now on everdam.eu. Choose Download normal client for the classic window, or Download Everlite client for a sidebar with optional tools. Both launchers connect to the same worlds and use the same account.
2. Save and open the launcher
Save EverdamClient.exe (normal) or EverdamRuneliteClient.exe (Everlite). Open the downloaded file from your browser’s downloads list or your Downloads folder. These Windows launchers install their own Java runtime; you do not need to install Java separately.
3. Let setup finish
Keep your internet connection active while the setup window downloads and verifies the runtime, game files and cache. The first launch takes longer. The client opens automatically when its packages are ready. Later launches check for updates.
4. Open the normal client
The normal client opens in a classic game window. Wait for the loading bar to finish. “Connecting to update server” requires a reachable game world: if it stays here, check Server Status on the website before retrying.
5. Open Everlite
Everlite adds a sidebar to the same game. Use Plugins to enable optional tools, and the arrow to collapse the sidebar. Start with the default settings; you can explore XP, Skills, Scores and other tabs later. Loading and world availability work the same way as in the normal client.
6. Select a world and log in
When the login screen appears, choose Main for your first visit. PvP has different combat rules. Enter your username and password privately, then log in. A new, available username creates an account on its first successful login. An existing account requires its existing password. You can use the same account in either client, but cannot log in twice at the same time.
7. Begin your adventure
Your character begins in Edgeville. Speak to Aldric the Retired and follow The Adventurer’s Introduction. Use the Trial Journal for the current task and Player Info for the Teleport Hub. Log out before changing worlds or switching clients.
Next time and troubleshooting
Reopen the same launcher to play again. If a new launcher is announced, download its latest EXE from Play Now. If Windows blocks an unsigned file, verify that it came from everdam.eu and follow your device’s security policy. Do not disable protection.
